A field of deep blue surrounds a mix of ferns, ginkgo leaves, maple leaves, and soft star shaped flowers. The ferns sweep across the lower half with clean, delicate detail that shows every tiny segment. Scattered above them are bright ginkgo leaves with their familiar fan shape, mixed with small clusters of maple leaves that add movement through the center. The star shaped flowers float across the top and edges, giving the cyanotype a feeling of gentle motion, almost like petals drifting through the air.
The tones shift from rich ocean blue to lighter sky blue, highlighting each leaf silhouette with clarity. The arrangement brings together the softness of the flowers and the structure of the ferns and creates a calm, balanced composition that feels rooted in nature and full of quiet energy.
This cyanotype measures 15 x 22 inches and is created on high-quality watercolor paper. Each piece is handmade by me and completely one-of-a-kind. It comes unframed, allowing you to choose the perfect frame for your space.
My recommendation for framing this piece is a shadowbox frame in white or natural wood, with a 2- to 3-inch mat. I suggest floating the artwork, meaning it’s mounted slightly above the mat board, fully showcasing its beautiful deckled edges and adding depth.
I always recommend working with your local framer when possible. If you're short on time or prefer ordering online, a great alternative is Simply Framed, where you'll find these framing options. For more detailed framing tips, please check out my framing guide.
This cyanotype artwork ships unframed and will be carefully packaged for safe delivery. Shipping costs $20 and typically takes 10 to 15 business days. As soon as your order is placed, I'll personally email you to confirm the shipping timeline and keep you updated every step of the way.
