My name is Candice, but you might know me as Candiché.

I am a Venezuelan-American artist who specializes in a photographic technique known as cyanotype, which I use to depict plants, and explore the natural world.

I was born in Michigan, and raised on the island of Margarita in Venezuela. I received a BFA in prints and books from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan, where I fell in love with the print making process.

At a young age, I felt a deep connection to nature, and after graduation I began to pursue my passion by  working on an organic farm, practicing floral design, becoming a master gardener, and eventually studying permaculture design and agroforestry in Bali, Indonesia.

Inspired by the natural beauty that surrounded me, I began to look for ways to express that beauty, and found the Cyanotype.
