This cyanotype features a rich array of leaves, including the finely detailed fronds of ferns, broad maple and oak leaves, and smaller star-shaped flora, all layered together to create a lush, forest-like tapestry. Each leaf is rendered with clarity, showcasing its unique shape and structure against the deep blue background. Interspersed among these natural forms are sweeping, wave-like lines that wind through the composition. These flowing waves give the impression of water moving gently beneath the leaves, as if they are floating atop a tranquil stream. The interplay of the leaves with the subtle waves brings a sense of rhythm and movement, capturing a serene moment where nature’s elements coexist in quiet harmony.

This piece is signed horizontally, so if you prefer the signature at the bottom, a horizontal frame would be ideal. However, if you choose to frame it vertically with the signature along the side, it won’t affect the integrity of the piece. Each cyanotype is a one-of-a-kind original, crafted from leaves I've gathered from around the world, making each piece like a journal of my travels. Made on watercolor paper, each artwork has my signature on the front and back. The cyanotype process involves soaking the paper in water, sometimes multiple times, which can create small tears. I've reinforced these spots with tape when needed, though they won’t show once framed. This process uses sunlight to create natural shapes in rich blue tones, giving each piece its own unique character.
