This cyanotype features a prominent palm leaf with bold, fan-like lines radiating outward, with the subtle silhouette of a Monstera leaf in the background. Layered brushstrokes in deep blue and sepia add rhythm and movement, evoking the feeling of light filtering through dense foliage. The Monstera adds depth and contrast, enhancing the layered design. Each cyanotype is a one-of-a-kind original, crafted from leaves I've gathered from around the world, making each piece like a journal of my travels. Made on watercolor paper, each artwork has my signature on the front and back. The cyanotype process involves soaking the paper in water, sometimes multiple times, which can create small tears. I've reinforced these spots with tape when needed, though they won’t show once framed. This process uses sunlight to create natural shapes in rich blue tones, giving each piece its own unique character.
