This piece is inspired by nights spent camping under starlit skies. I’ve always been drawn to the Milky Way. There’s something magical about watching it stretch across the darkness, especially in the stillness of nature. A trail of leaves—oak, maple, ginkgo, and cedar—moves through a sky filled with star-shaped blossoms from the Queen’s Wreath vine, one of my favorites that grows in my garden. Deep indigo tones blend with soft green washes and visible brushstrokes, creating a sense of movement and wonder.
This piece measures 40 x 70 inches as a full sheet of cotton fabric. It will arrive unframed, giving you the freedom to stretch and frame it in a way that fits your space. Stretching the fabric around stretcher bars will slightly reduce the final dimensions, depending on the thickness of the bars, but only by a few inches. You can add a frame afterward if you'd like. I personally love using wood or a simple white frame, but it's completely up to your style.
There’s no set direction for how this piece should hang. When I create these, I don’t think in terms of top or bottom—just form, flow, and feeling.
