Cyanotype on Fabric

This piece feels like it’s been gently pulled underwater. The soft fades and flowing brushstrokes move like waves across the surface, washing over layers of ferns, oak, and maple leaves. Some shapes are sharp and bright, while others blur into the background like they’ve drifted just out of reach. Queen’s Wreath vine flowers scatter through the scene like air bubbles rising to the top. The deep blues and soft greens give it a feeling of quiet motion, like nature paused mid-tide.

There’s no set direction for how this piece should hang. When I create these, I don’t think in terms of top or bottom—just form, flow, and feeling. Whether you hang it vertically or horizontally is entirely up to your eye and your space. The next image shows an example of what the piece could look like framed in a home.
