Two kinds of ferns take center stage in this cyanotype—one tall and sweeping, the other feathery and branching. Oak, maple, and ginkgo leaves float between scattered star-shaped blooms. Deep indigo blends with mossy green and soft, sun-washed brushstrokes, giving the whole piece a wild, airy energy.
This piece measures 40 x 68 inches. Once stretched, the final size will be slightly smaller, depending on the thickness of the stretcher bars you choose.
The artwork is shipped unframed, giving you the freedom to stretch or frame it however you like. It can hang vertically or horizontally—there’s no fixed direction, so it’s up to your eye. Each piece is one of a kind, created with real leaves and natural sunlight. After exposure, I wash the fabric in water to reveal the final image.
