Two monstera leaves sit through the tall composition, their splits and holes rendered in deep olive and warm khaki, layered with sweeping circular brushstrokes that arc around them like rings of energy. Crisp white brushstrokes cut diagonally across the piece, adding a bold raw energy throughout. The background is a beautiful soft powder blue, making this piece feel lighter and more airy than many in the collection. The contrast between the warm olive tones of the leaves and the cool powder blue background is striking and unique.
Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
