A monstera leaf dominates the composition, hand-painted in crisp white directly onto the cyanotype, then finished with a delicate hand-painted gold border that makes it glow luminously against the deep teal background. The combination of the cyanotype process, the hand-painted white and the gold edging creates a truly unique and luxurious piece with multiple layers of artistry. Star-shaped botanicals, dragonflies and small flowers are scattered around the edges, adding gentle detail to the surrounding space.

Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.

This cyanotype measures 11 x 30 inches and is created on high-quality watercolor paper. Each piece is handmade by me and completely one-of-a-kind. It comes unframed, allowing you to choose the perfect frame for your space.

My recommendation for framing this piece is a shadowbox frame in white or natural wood, with a 2- to 3-inch mat. I suggest floating the artwork, meaning it’s mounted slightly above the mat board, fully showcasing its beautiful deckled edges and adding depth.
