A large maple leaf sits near the center of this cyanotype, and you can see its fine vein structure showing through the lighter blue tone. Smaller maple leaves surround it, along with a few oak leaves that have more pointed, defined lobes. Two ginkgo leaves appear near the top and middle, easily recognizable by their smooth, fan shaped edges.
Star shaped flowers are scattered across the background, creating a light rhythm around the larger leaf shapes. The blue tones shift softly from deeper navy to lighter teal, with subtle brush marks from the hand-applied chemistry adding gentle texture. Altogether, the mix of maple, oak, ginkgo, and star flowers gives the piece a calm, floating feeling with a clear focus on the beautiful detail of the central maple leaf.
