Half of a giant monstera leaf sweeps down through the tall composition, its wide splits cascading like a pair of angel wings. Sweeping arc-shaped brushstrokes curve dramatically across in deep midnight navy, layering over the soft sage and warm gold of the leaf beneath. Star-shaped botanicals and small plumeria flowers are scattered throughout. The tones shift between deep navy, soft teal and warm olive gold, creating a rich and moody depth.
Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolour paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
