Two monstera leaves sit behind a series of flowing wave-like brushstrokes that sweep horizontally across the entire tall composition. The leaves glow softly in powder blue and sage green beneath the waves, with delicate dragonflies and small star-shaped botanicals visible between the layers. The creamy white brushstrokes ripple rhythmically from top to bottom, giving the piece a beautiful sense of movement, like light dancing on water. The tones shift between deep teal, soft blue and warm sage throughout.
Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
