Two monstera leaves face each other through the tall composition, their splits and holes mirroring beautifully to create an almost symmetrical effect. Sweeping diagonal brushstrokes cut boldly across the middle, separating and connecting the two leaves at the same time. A small dragonfly and star-shaped botanical sit quietly between the layers. The tones shift between deep midnight navy and soft powder blue, with warm sandy gold peeking through where the brushstrokes catch the light.
Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
