Two monstera leaves face each other in a perfect mirror image, their splits and holes locking together to create a striking symmetrical composition. The leaves meet in the middle of the tall piece, their forms almost resembling a pair of hands reaching toward one another. The tones are a beautiful blend of soft powder blue and deep midnight navy throughout, bold and graphic with no background distractions, letting the pure form of the leaves take centre stage.
Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
