A monstera leaf fills the entire composition, its iconic splits and fenestrations extending beyond all edges of the paper. Bold vertical brushstrokes sweep down through the piece on both sides, framing the leaf with a raw painterly energy. Small star-shaped botanicals are softly visible within the leaf, adding a delicate layer of detail. The tones shift beautifully between deep midnight navy, soft teal and warm sage green throughout, giving this piece a rich, layered tropical warmth.

Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.

This cyanotype measures 15 x 22 inches and is created on high-quality watercolor paper. Each piece is handmade by me and completely one-of-a-kind. It comes unframed, allowing you to choose the perfect frame for your space.



My recommendation for framing this piece is a shadowbox frame in white or natural wood, with a 2- to 3-inch mat. I suggest floating the artwork, meaning it’s mounted slightly above the mat board, fully showcasing its beautiful deckled edges and adding depth.
