A deep, velvety blue fills the background and brings every leaf silhouette forward with clarity. Fern fronds sweep through the lower half with crisp detail, creating a soft rhythm that guides the eye across the cyanotype. Around them float ginkgo leaves with their curved, fan shaped edges, along with clusters of maple leaves that add contrast through the center. Scattered star shaped flowers brighten the upper portion and give the composition a feeling of lightness, almost as if petals are drifting through the air.

Subtle shifts in blue move from rich indigo to a softer sky tone, making each shape glow against the surface. The mix of ferns, ginkgo, maple, and the airy flowers creates a landscape of textures that feels calm, grounded, and full of gentle movement.

This cyanotype measures 15 x 22 inches and is created on high-quality watercolor paper. Each piece is handmade by me and completely one-of-a-kind. It comes unframed, allowing you to choose the perfect frame for your space.



My recommendation for framing this piece is a shadowbox frame in white or natural wood, with a 2- to 3-inch mat. I suggest floating the artwork, meaning it’s mounted slightly above the mat board, fully showcasing its beautiful deckled edges and adding depth.
