Broad oak leaves fill the surface with strong, expressive silhouettes that create a lively rhythm across the deep blue background. A few bright ginkgo leaves sit among them, adding soft curved shapes that contrast with the pointed oak forms. Star shaped flowers float between the leaves and bring a gentle sense of motion, almost as if they are drifting through open air.
The blue tones shift from rich indigo to softer sky blue, giving the arrangement a calm sense of depth. The mix of large oak leaves, delicate ginkgo leaves, and scattered star shaped flowers guides the eye through the piece and creates a natural flow. The whole scene feels like a quiet moment in the changing season, full of movement and lightness.
Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
