A large tropical heart-shaped leaf sits in the upper centre alongside a broad chestnut-style leaf in the lower half. Ferns, plumeria flowers, clover-like foliage and maple leaves fill the background. Loose brushstrokes frame the edges of the piece. The tones shift between deep teal, dark navy and soft powder blue.
Created using the cyanotype process, two chemicals are hand mixed and applied to watercolor paper, real botanicals are placed on top and exposed to natural sunlight, then washed by hand to reveal the image. Each piece is completely one-of-a-kind original artwork.
