This cyanotype highlights the majestic Monstera leaf, painted in gold, symbolizing the sun and the life-giving energy it provides. Surrounding it are various leaves: oak, ginkgo, pond leaves, and star-shaped flowers, all set against a deep blue background. The composition feels like a celebration of growth and vitality, as each plant seems to reach towards the Monstera "sun," embodying the nourishment they receive from its light. The piece beautifully encapsulates the interconnectedness of nature and the essential role of sunlight in fostering life.

Each cyanotype is a one-of-a-kind original, crafted from leaves I've gathered from around the world, making each piece like a journal of my travels. Made on watercolor paper, each artwork has my signature on the front and back. The cyanotype process involves soaking the paper in water, sometimes multiple times, which can create small tears. I've reinforced these spots with tape when needed, though they won’t show once framed. This process uses sunlight to create natural shapes in rich blue tones, giving each piece its own unique character.
