Original Cyanotype on Paper 22 x 30"

This cyanotype showcases an elegant collection of leaves, including maple, oak, ginkgo, and fern, each thoughtfully arranged against a deep blue background. The star-shaped flowers are scattered delicately throughout, creating a whimsical and organic rhythm. A couple of the leaves have been carefully hand-painted, adding a personal touch and extra depth to the piece. The varying tones of blue contrast beautifully with the crisp, white shapes, capturing a serene moment in nature’s intricate tapestry.

Each cyanotype is a one-of-a-kind original, crafted from leaves I've gathered from around the world, making each piece like a journal of my travels. Made on watercolor paper, each artwork has my signature on the front and back. The cyanotype process involves soaking the paper in water, sometimes multiple times, which can create small tears. I've reinforced these spots with tape when needed, though they won’t show once framed. This process uses sunlight to create natural shapes in rich blue tones, giving each piece its own unique character.
