This cyanotype piece beautifully highlights the intricate details of fern leaves, stretching across the artwork with grace and precision. The fern’s delicate, feather-like structure fills the composition, giving a sense of both fragility and resilience. Among the ferns, scattered star-shaped flowers and the occasional maple and ginkgo leaves add visual interest, creating a harmonious blend of shapes and textures. The deep, rich blue background contrasts subtly with the lighter blues of the leaves, giving the artwork a serene yet powerful presence, reminiscent of a peaceful forest floor under the soft glow of twilight.

Each cyanotype is a one-of-a-kind original, crafted from leaves I've gathered from around the world, making each piece like a journal of my travels. Made on watercolor paper, each artwork has my signature on the front and back. The cyanotype process involves soaking the paper in water, sometimes multiple times, which can create small tears. I've reinforced these spots with tape when needed, though they won’t show once framed. This process uses sunlight to create natural shapes in rich blue tones, giving each piece its own unique character.
